It is listed as a newly opened luxury hotel. I booked it after seeing that the National Day price was not bad. In addition to the good service, the doorman, lobby manager and restaurant staff are all very good. Except that the overall facilities are very new (but the air conditioner is very loud, which affects sleep), everything else is average. The front desk check-in attitude was very good and patiently explained the facilities. But when we stayed for two nights, the room card failed on the second day and the room was not cleaned. It was quite frustrating. So I thought the cleaning was pretty good on the first day, and it was understandable that there was no toiletries and bottled water. The original price of breakfast is 154 Hong Kong dollars. It is quite affordable at half price since the opening. There are not many varieties but it is basically enough to fill you up. The main reason is that it is still relatively remote, there are construction sites nearby and there is nothing, but we usually come back late so it doesn’t matter. But if you want to find food nearby, you have to go to a remote residential area nearby. The environment is not good, and walking there at night is still quite scary. Moreover, the hotel is still quite far from Exit D of Songhuangtai, mainly because of various sieges and construction sites, so it takes a long way to walk to the hotel, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Although there is a shuttle bus, it is usually only available at 11 o'clock at the earliest and closes at 7:40 at the latest, so it is almost useless to leave early and return late. So I hope the hotel can improve the shortcomings such as air conditioning facilities and location.

The towels were lint-free and it was remote. It was quite far to get to the subway and also had to walk a long way to eat. inconvenient. The hotel is new, has a newly renovated feel, and the service is average. The good thing is that the bed is very good and I can sleep until dawn. However, the front desk clerk said that I have to check out at 11 o'clock and 12 o'clock at the latest. It is impossible to sleep for a while.

The advantage is that it is very new and clean. There is no formaldehyde smell. The disadvantage is that the transportation is too inconvenient. It takes 20 minutes to walk from Kai Tak or Songhuangtai. The shuttle bus only runs until 7:40 at the latest. The big bed is 1.5m, which is relatively small. The other services of the hotel are OK, and the attitude is good.

Extremely poor experience, completely in violation of product description regulations First, the shuttle bus instructions are extremely unclear. The hotel's official website stated that it would provide a shuttle bus from Kai Tak Station MTR to the hotel, but at that time the website did not provide any shuttle bus schedules and boarding and alighting times. When I arrived at Kai Tak MTR Station, I could not find any instructions or stop signs about Shuttle Bus. Finally, I took a taxi to the hotel at my own expense. After reporting this to the hotel, they insisted that their guidelines were very clear. Second, the swimming pool is not open yet, but guests are not informed. I am very interested in the infinity swimming pool of the Dorsett Kai Tak Hotel, so I chose this hotel for this staycation. My partner and I have been looking forward to it for a long time, but after arriving at the hotel, we were told by the front desk staff when checking in that the hotel swimming pool was temporarily closed due to water quality issues. Before the guests arrived at the hotel, the hotel never announced the news on the official website, or informed the guests of the news through messages and emails. In the end, the hotel offered free buffet breakfast as compensation, otherwise there would be no compensation. I can only accept this compensation. Third, the view of the sea view room is completely inconsistent with the information photo. I saw that the sea view room displayed on the hotel's official website had a good view, so I paid extra money to choose a sea view room, but the actual room was completely different. The so-called "sea view room" we stayed in had most of the "sea view" blocked only by the CLP Building and the Kai Tak Sports Center under construction, and the sea was full of construction ships. I completely don’t understand why the hotel management can still attract guests with sea view rooms on the room booking website when they know that there are a lot of construction projects going on around the hotel and that the sea view has been blocked by various projects and buildings. Moreover, I saw that the city view rooms shown in other reviews were even more beautiful than the view of our ocean view room. Fourth, the hotel service quality needs to be improved. We have never tried to stay in a hotel where the Mini Bar in the room did not provide coffee and tea bags. In addition, no bathrobes were provided. We think the hotel may be relatively new and the staff are not familiar with it yet, so it is understandable that problems may arise. After reporting it to the staff, they immediately brought it to me. But I really can’t understand that in a place that advertises itself as a five-star hotel, its tea bags are actually Yu Ming. Moreover, the bathrobe was hanging on a hanger when the staff brought it to me. He told me that he was going to put away the hangers because the company would count the number of hangers. So, he embarrassedly took off the hanger on the bathrobe in front of me. Is this really the service a five-star hotel should have? Fifth, the hotel's supplies are extremely lacking. I went on this staycation to celebrate my birthday. I have been to several other five-star hotels before. Generally, if you stay to celebrate a birthday, they will provide birthday benefits, such as a small cake or a room upgrade. This hotel didn't provide anything. Of course, I didn't think the hotel should provide these benefits for granted, so I didn't ask for anything from the hotel. However, I just asked the hotel staff to provide us with a candle, but even this small request was not fulfilled. Sixth, there is a problem with the water heater and water quality in the room. When we took a shower at night, we turned on the hot water, but the water was always cold. After waiting for about 5 minutes, hot water came out. When we brushed our teeth the next morning, we tried to wait for hot water to brush our teeth, but the water was still cold even after brushing our teeth. And the water coming out of the faucet has a lot of impurities (a little black). Seventh, the ventilation system is extremely poor. Although the hotel has all non-smoking rooms, the tenants near our room secretly smoked. Why do we know? Because the hotel's ventilation system blew the smell of other people's cigarette smoke into our room. This was totally unacceptable to us and we called the front desk immediately. The front desk staff asked a male staff member to come to our room to help with the issue. He took a sniff first and smelled the smoke, so he suggested a solution for us to change rooms. However, it was already early in the morning, so I told the staff that it was a waste of time to pack up my belongings and sleep in another room. Moreover, if every room was in the same condition, there was no point in transferring rooms. The staff promised to help me check if there are any vacancies in the hotel first, and then contact us again. However, even after we checked out, no one informed us of anything. We then complained to trip.com. Trip.com took almost a day to deal with it and said that the hotel staff said that we did not report it to them. I complained to the staff about the above issues when I went to the front desk to buy a toothbrush that night. The staff handed me a card and told me that I could complain by email. The staff also asked me about my dissatisfaction at that time. After the expression, the staff could only apologize. I am extremely angry about this irresponsible behavior. Eighth, food quality and hygiene need to be improved. The hotel provided breakfast as a compensation plan for not notifying that the swimming pool was unavailable, so we went to enjoy the hotel's breakfast. Upon arrival, the view outside the restaurant window was still a landscape, and the breakfast options were very limited. Fortunately, the service attitude of the staff is very good, but unfortunately, the hygiene of the restaurant staff is not good. There are two long tables covered with black tablecloths in the restaurant. When the restaurant staff cleaned up the tables after the diners left, they swept away all the food residue that fell on the tablecloths. They did not change the tablecloths or spray any disinfectant products afterwards. . Worst five star hotel ever. There is nothing on the outside, but nothing on the inside. It is recommended to wait until everything is ready before opening, rather than deceiving and bullying customers like this.

The room is relatively new and has no smell. The service is also in place. The breakfast variety is a little less. It is recommended that the shuttle bus to and from the subway station can be opened earlier. The surrounding construction has not been completed yet.
